Radiolarians contained in a core-sample recovered from the Atlantic Ocean floor during DSDP (Deep Sea Drilling Project) Leg76 (carried out during Oct.11 - Dec.21, 1980) were described by Yamamoto, Mizutani and Kagami (1985) for the comparative biostratigraphic study of the fossils. The core, designated as Leg76-534A-126-1, was stored in the Ocean Research Institute, University of Tokyo, and part of the core has been treated for the paleontological study. The core is an indurated calcareous, partially tuffaceous, fine-grained laminated rock yielding radiolarian fossils; worthy to note is that all the skeletons of the radiolarians were completely pyritized, and preservation of the main part of the skeleton is good for our paleontological work.
